Description
Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A faience ushabti (or shabti), standing in mummiform, with a tripartite wig, a braided false beard, and clearly visible facial features, all in a pale green glaze with areas of age-related browning. The figure stands on an integrated horizontal plinth, with a vertical bar of hieroglyphs, and both hands hold the symbolic pick and hoe to sow the fields of Osiris in the afterlife. Custom wooden base included. Size: 3.2" H (8.1 cm); 4.1" H (10.4 cm) on included custom stand.

Condition
Age-commensurate surface wear and minor brown discoloration, small rough areas where glaze is worn away, with some earthen deposits in recessed areas. Old adhesive and sticker residue visible on base of figure. Stand has very minor paint loss around corners.
