Description
Covered double handle sugar bowl crafted of coin silver by Hayden & Whilden (Charleston, South Carolina, working 1855-1863). Pear shape with scalloped rim with conforming dome top, twig and leaf handles. Engraved with AHB monogram. Descended from the John Christopher Faber Bennett family. Measures 7" x 7 1/2" Total weight approximately 695 grams. Good condition with bend to finial and small body dents. Signed Hayden & Whilden 3 G&W Gold & Silver Smiths.
