Description
1772 Albertus Magnus SECRETS Herbal CURES Magic Potions Occult Sciences Alchemy
“Do there exist many worlds, or is there but a single world? This is one of the most noble and exalted questions in the study of Nature.”
– Albertus Magnus
Albertus Magnus was a 13th-century Dominican friar known for his contributions to philosophy and natural sciences such as mathematics, astronomy, and metaphysics. His work represents the entirety of European knowledge from the 13th-century, particularly in pairing Aristotelian knowledge with Christian doctrine.
This rare 1772 printing of the secrets of Albertus Magnus include his theories on alchemy, magic, occult sciences, and herbal cures. This edition was written and edited by Pons Augustin Alletz who sought to liken modern medicine and thereapeutics to the popular writings of Magnus. Like in many of his works, Albertus compares metaphysical and philosophical ideas to moral goodness and religion.
