Age: Qing dynasty, c.1750 (Early reign of Emperor Qianlong)
Description: The exterior well enamel painted with Lake Tai rocks, large peonies, chrysanthemums, butterfly and cricket, the interior decorated with a meandering floral group below a European-style border around the rim. Unglazed high foot rim burnt orange with a white glazed flat bottom.
Size: 15 1/2", 39.5cm.

Condition
Lot 155: Large famille rose punchbowl, resonates nicely when struck, a chip is observed on the outside of the rim, approximately 1cm by 1 1/3cm and approximately 3mm deep, There is a faintly visible hairline which extends downwards from the chip which is visible from inside and outside of the bowl, also appears a crack which is vertical, split along the edge of the bowl, not particularly slightly, but still visible.(Please see photos for details)other flea bite sized chips are observed on the rim of the bowl, normal ware to the enamels commensurate with age. The bunch bowl was not examined under a black light.
