Mercury-Atlas 6 (Friendship 7) mission item on a 7 cent air mail cover bearing a circular hand stamp cancellation "USS Noa / (DD-841) / Feb 20 1962" and an embossed circular red "United States of American / Navy Department" seal. Features the signatures the mission's pilot/crew "John Glenn Jr.," and his back-up "Scott Carpenter." 2.) Mercury-Atlas 7 (Aurora 7) mission item on a postal cover imprinted with a splash-down and recovery illustration and circular hand stamp cancellation "USS Intrepid / (CVS 11) / May 24 1962 P.M." Features the signatures of the mission's pilot/crew "Scott Carpenter /Aurora 7" and the mission's originally designated pilot/crew "Deke Slayton."
