Travel By Trains Barbara Herbison Circa 1941 scrapbook style 9"x12" hinged & shellacked plywood boards, with a 4"x7" hammered aluminum plate depicting a steam engine, mounted on the front cover. Book begins with an outline table of contents, and finishes with an index. 47 one-side pages. Written in ink, in a youngster's cursive hand. Illustrated with newspaper, comics, and magazine cutouts. Circa, 1941, A 3rd or 4th grade elementary school class project. A labor of pride and accomplishment, no doubt, for Miss Herbison.
