This is the Hogarth Press (London) first printing of the Virginia Woolf's novel The Years (469 pages), the last of her novels to be published during her lifetime, noted as first published in 1937 on the copyright page. The cover, green cloth background with gold lettering to the spine, has a number of scuffs, slightly bumped outside corners, and shallow curl to the ends of the spine, which is straight and securely connected. The gilt lettering shows little fade. The inside is very good, the only extraneous element being the penned notation to the front inside cover, from a personal library, dated 1976 (see photo). The binding is strong, with no loose or missing pages. The pages are clean, with no stains or scuffs. There are recurrent creases, not sharp, to lower outside corners. There are no page tears. All the lettering is clean and unfaded.
