Description
A footed, white ground, famille rose serving dish in the shape of a quatrefoil and dating to the 19th century. The interior of the dish is decorated with a scene of a man on a boat in a river with 2 attendants. A woodcutter walks across a bridge in the background towards a village. The sides of the dish are decorated with lingzhi mushrooms, and the foot features a floral motif. The bottom of the foot has a 6-character Xianfeng mark.
Dimensions are: 2 inches tall X 5 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: It is worn with age, with some paint loss in the interior. The rim is pitted, and there may be a few small chips in the rim as well.
Provenance: From a collector's estate in McLean, Virginia.
