Description
A pair of Chinese lidded blue and white porcelain general jars dating from the 19th century. Each is decorated with flowers and bats, with taotie mask handles and a guardian lion on the top of the lid.
Dimensions are 17 1/2 inches tall X 10 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Both have faint hairline cracks in the rim and minuscule chips in the nose of the lions.
Provenance: From the collection of Mrs. Francis Mortell of Charlottesville, VA.
