Description
A porcelain figure of a well-dressed woman holding a basket of peaches and dating from the Republic Period. Her outer robes are decorated with phoenixes, peaches, flowers, and the 8 Buddhist symbols. There are 3, 4-character studio marks on the bottom.
Dimensions are: 21 3/4 inches tall X 7 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: One of the peaches in the basket has broken off. There are a few paint chips in the glaze of the figure's hair. There is a hairline crack in the bottom.
Provenance: From a collector's estate in McLean, Virginia.
