19TH CENTURYOrigin: India.Length - 41,8 cm. Weight - 1102 g.It was a functioning EIC made version of the New Land Pattern Cavalry Pistol, originally introduced in 1796. It was copied by \"East India Company” and was traded and sold throughout southern Asia.Round steel barrel with stamps. Wooden handle with brass fittings. Standing lion holding a crown is etched on the plate of the lock, showing Indian Army property. Also stamps with numbers are present. Parts of the flint lock are missing. Swivel ramrod assembly removed and the front band attached with a screw in a period.
Condition
Medium condition. Iron parts with pitting from corrosion, patina in indentations, scratches and dents. Parts of the lock are missing. Wooden handle with cracks, scratches and dents, general wear off. Brass parts cleaned, with scratches and dents. Hammer in working condition.
