U.S. SENATE HISTORICAL ENGRAVING hand-colored, titled "THE UNITED STATES SENATE, A.D. 1850", with caption "This Engraving from the Original Picture is Respectfully Dedicated to the People of the United States by the Publisher", drawn by P.F. Rothermel, engraved by R. Whitechurch, lettered under image "Entered according to the Act of Congress in the Year 1855, by John M. Butler and Alfred Long. . .", and under proper right corner "PROOF". Under glass in a gilt-wood ogee frame. Mid 19th century. 30" x 37" sight, 38" x 45" OA.
Good condition overall, expected toning, some foxing/staining, primarily to bottom margin; frame with some expected wear. Not examined out of frame.
