Two similar French hand painted silk ladies fans dating to the late 19th Century, having applied metal ornaments and pierced work on frames, the central panels depicting figures in landscapes one being artist signed illegibly, both housed in custom shadow box frames, measuring height 13.75" , width approximately 21". Condition: three pierced supports appear to have repairs on one fan. Provenance: from the Estate of noted collector and show promoter Sonia Paine of Brookline, MA.
