Pre-Columbian, Colombia, Tolima culture, ca. 200 to 1200 CE. A charming terracotta pedestal vessel, hourglass-shaped and composed of a gritty red clay, with incised patterns that look like woven rope around its exterior body and a flat rim, its interior painted in black and red with dense, repeated interlocking swirls and labyrinth-like motifs. Size: 8.4" W x 6.4" H (21.3 cm x 16.3 cm)
