Description
This coin silver teaspoon measures 5 5/8 inches long, with the bowl being 1 1/8 inches wide. It is signed on the back of the handle, "Fenno & Ball, Bangor." This silver manufacturer produced coin pieces between 1848 and 1859. This particular spoon has faint initials engraved at the end of the handle. Although difficult to read, we believe they are "WMG." The spoon is in good condition, with the only flaw being some minor dents to the bowl, which can be seen in the photo. There are no other dents, warps, bends, or breaks. This early spoon weighs 10.8 grams.
