A lovely little sterling silver vintage baby's mug, made by Georg Jensen monogrammed P.L.C. on front. The cup is solid enough that if it is dropped by a child the silver will not dent. Also, the cup is also made of so much silver that the monogram could be erased to add another name. It has a rolled silver at the mouth, adding a nice detail. This minimal, elegant silver cup is marked on bottom "U.S.A. Georg Jensen Inc. Sterling, 506". The beauty and quality of Jensen Silver and his Art Nouveau creations caught the eye of the public back in the late 19th Century and his success was assured. The original quarters were found in Copenhagen and in 1924 Jensen had opened retail in New York. Today, Georg Jensen continues as Inc. The cup is 1 3/4 inches tall and 2.4 ozt. It's in really great condition, no dents or nicks. Makes a great gift for a child, or for a baby shower.
