A burial at Viden Denmark contained the body of a woman of wealth and status buried with henbane seeds, which have hallucinogenic properties, and a wand as well as other objects. From these, it was concluded that she was a seeress or sorceress. The grave contained a necklace hung with three duck's feet pendants. This example is clearly a variation of the duck's foot, known to be associated with Viking sorceresses. As with much of Viking culture, the specifics remain to be discovered and work carries on at York, England and Gotland, Denmark as well as other places.
