RARE SILVER-PLATED AND NAILSEA MINIATURE FINGER LAMP, font hidden in a figural petal with stem forming as handle, large leaf-form base with underside hallmarked "H & H", eagle and "5676", cased strong cranberry/ruby Nailsea ball-form shade with eight groupings of opal loopings, folded-in and crimped rim, Near matching cased pale cranberry Nailsea chimney with four groupings of opal loops. Fitted with a silver-plated Hinks & Sons slip burner. Base Hukin and Heath. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 9" H to top of shade, 4 7/8" H to top of collar, 4 1/2" W x 6 3/4" L base. Shade 3 3/4" H, 2 1/8" D fitter. Chimney 6 1/8" H, 1 5/8" D fitter.
Undamaged lamp, expected light wear to silver-plate, shade with a normal minute flake to fitter, probably as made, shade body with several dark spots of undissolved metal. Burner deflector with a very light dent and with expected finish wear, chimney fitter with a minor flake/roughness.
