This is a later printing of the Random House hardcover publication of Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" (1168 pages), in a fair dust jacket, which has shallow tears to its edges and a number of light scuffs, but no deep tears or significant stains.The art, photograph and lettering are unfaded. The front flap has the initials FPT and the price $29.95 at the top. The cover, black background with gold lettering and decoration on the spine, is slightly faded and with some looseness at the ends of the spine, which is straight and securely attached, as are both the front and back boards, which are lightly scuffed, but otherwise unstained, and with no bumps to the outside corners. The inside is in very good condition. The only extraneous element is a faded ink stamp "NEW" to the front end page. There are no other stamps or attachments. There is no writing. The numbers/letters 8C97 are printed at the top of the copyright page. The outside bottom corners are slightly darkened, from handling, and there are a few foxed spots to the outside edges. The pages are otherwise uniformly clean, with no stains or scuffs. The binding is tight, with no loose or missing pages. There are no page tears or creases. All the text is unfaded and clearly legible.
