Coin Silver “Coffin End” Spoons by Robert Wilson, NY
c. 1815, Pair of Coin Silver Coffin End Spoons, Robert Wilson, (NY), Choice Very Fine.
Each spoon measures 5.5” and features a period script monogram, “EC,” within a shield design at the tip of the handle. Maker’s mark stamped on underside of handle: “RW” within an oval, possibly for Robert Wilson, New York, 1816. Total weight is 23 grams. Normal signs of use with slight scratches on the surface.
