Whole plate ambrotype (6½ x 8½ inches). With mat and preserver.

Two men take their visit to Niagara Falls very seriously. One is standing, holding his hat with one leg up on the wooden bench. The other man, in a dark suit, sits. We can see the burgeoning town beyond the falls.

This is a generous donation from David R. Phillips, facilitated by Neil MacDonald of Rare Photo Gallery. Mr. MacDonald generously steered Mr. Phillips' collection to The Daguerreian Society rather than handle it himself. 100% OF THE PROCEEDS WILL GO TO THE DAGUERREIAN SOCIETY.
