Constance Warner Ralston (1896 - 1983) California Plein Air Oil on Board. Signed by the artist and dated 1942 lower right. In Frame Measures 23"x19"x1". Weight 2 pds. PROVENANCE: A Charleston SC Private Collection. Born in Vermont on June 25, 1896. While a resident of Oakland in 1934, Ralston studied at the CCAC. She died in Los Angeles on July 30, 1983. Known works include landscapes of Coastal California, Death Valley and Nevada. She exhibited at the Oakland Art Gallery in1934. REF: "Artists in California, 1786-1940" Edan Hughs.
