Late 19th century. An Italian alabaster medallion carved with the Great Seal of the United States, designed by L.C. Tiffany; dia. 13.75, dp. 1 in.
Once owned by Dean Rusk and hung on his office wall during his tenure as United States Secretary of State under Presidents Kennedy and Johnson, 1961-1969.
