Description
American, ca 1820s. A Silas Hoadley mahogany case shelf clock with stenciled pediment and faux columns, triple glass panel door, the lower panel reverse painted with landscape scene. Having a thirty-hour, two-weight time and strike wood and brass movement with bell chime, ivory bushings and painted wooden dial; ht. 35.5 in.Â
Provenance: Property from the Estate of John H. Ricks, Prospect, KY
Condition
Lower glass panel is not original. Splat may be a marriage using a period splat, but not original to the piece.
