Description

Manner of JMW Turner, “Temple of Neptune Paestum”, W/C, e. 19th c. unsigned, inscribed with subject lower left, on an old mat with title and attribution, the reverse of the paper with an 1850 date [ASHA8004] (TC)
Dimensions: 8.5x12.25, unframed, old mat is 18x22, a narrow losses bottom left corner, two lift water spots center left edge, colors are good however.
Provenance: From the Estate of the late Art Shaw, noted antique dealer.

Condition

small tear in one corner, was affiixed with glue in all 4 corners, now the upper left and bottom left corners are detached
