after LEON FRANCOIS COMERRE (French 1850-1916) A LARGE PAIR OF PARCEL GILT TRANSFER PRINTED ORIENTALIST BEAUTIES PLATES, CIRCA 1900, both signed "Campos," with some hand painting, a light and dark haired beauty centers each reserve, one plays a lute and the other a tambourine, within a turquoise and gilt painted scalloped edge, interspersed by rose blossoms. Height: 2 1/2" Diameter: 18"
Condition
Some deterioration of the pigment, one plate with some craquelure, and some various losses of paint, surface scratches, and soil, but overall in good to very good condition, wear commensurate with age.
