Description
A VICTORIAN BRASS MOUNTED ROSEWOOD DRESSING CASE, CIRCA 1880-1890, with hinged top fitted with shaped brass plaque, with locking mechanism and shaped escutcheon, with one drawer fitted with recessed campaign style brass handle and matching handles, the structure reinforced by brass corner straps, the interior with later marbleized paper and green velvet lining. Height: 8 1/2" Width: 13 1/4" Depth: 7 3/4"
Condition
In overall fair to good condition, with scratching, rubbing and wear to rosewood surfaces, brass plaque most likely a replacement, lifting and losses to veneer.
