A NORTH ITALIAN EBONIZED WOOD AND ENGRAVED BONE TABLE CABINET, PROBABLY MILAN, CIRCA 1850-1880, the small rectangular ebonized wood cabinet with two stacks of four drawers, each fronted with a multisection engraved bone plaque based on engraved images of the hunt and harvest, with turned bone handles, bordered by plaques engraved with olive branches, centering hinged door over a drawer, the door with an engraved image of Diana surrounded by pendant swags of fruit and olive branches, the door opening to reveal three more drawers each with engraved plaques of pendant swags of fruit, the case with bone stringing in geometric patterns on the top and sides, raised on four bun feet. Height: 17 1/2" Width: 20 1/8" Depth: 10 1/2"

In overall fair to good condition, with cracking to the bone plaques, cracking and lifting of the wood along the back edges of each side, some of the handles replaced.
