10K gold filled “Rolex Observatory” case. Rectangular cream coloured dial with raised gold arabic numerals. Dial marked “Rolex Prince Observatory - Swiss Made”. 17 jewel signed Rolex “Ultra Prima” baguette style movement. Gold hands. Brown “croco calf” band. CONDITION: Case exhibits just minor wear to the high points of the gold filled finish. The dial is an exceptional original example with great, uniform patina. The movement displays no significant wear. The hands are excellent. Band is unworn. Rolex Prince watches are becoming increasingly difficult to find. This “Observatory” example made exclusively for the Canadian market in the 1930’s. Measures 46mm to lug tips, 14mm lug width.
