Of openwork construction, each depicting a lotus flower. Secret Ëœpuzzle" door to reverse, probably protecting a compartment for relics.
Donated to the MFA, Boston ca. 1900 by the renowned collector William Sturgis Bigelow. MFA de-accessioned at a Skinner auction in 2005.
