Description
Pair of 19th century Spanish Colonial retablos, oil on tin, each unsigned. One depicting a Mary Queen of Heaven with crown and ring of flowers, holding the Christ Child, two kneeling figures flanking her with hands pressed together in prayer; the other depicting a male saint in blue and gold holding Christ Child and white lilies beside a red table cloth covered table with rosary, book and quills. Each framed 9.25" x 7.5".
Condition
Scattered losses, with holes to top of each, likely inherent to tin for hanging. Dusty. No other visible signs of damage or repair.
