Signed/illumined Rime of Ancient Mariner, Hubbard, 1899

Signed by Hubbard and specially illumined (hand-colored) limited edition of 400. Initials and simulated woodcuts were designed by W. W. Denslow, the man who illustrated the Wizard of Oz. Embossed design on suede cover. Three small stains on front cover. Four pea-size areas of paint residue on rear cover with a quarter-size scuff. Two tiny tears at lower right tip. Inside facing of front cover missing. Suede pulled away from text block at spine. First endpaper toned deeply. Small areas of toning on title page and opposite caused by a small card. Similar condition on copyright page and opposite but larger areas. Remainder of text block very good plus. 102 pages. 6 x 9.
