Description
Greece, Eastern Mediterranean area, ca. 5th to 3rd century BCE. A miniature blue glass vessel with a yellow rim and yellow marvered glass thread around body; a green glass applied loop handle. Marvered glass is made by rolling softened, heated glass on a smooth, flat surface while it is attached to a blowpipe or pontil, allowing the decoration to be evenly applied. Size: 0.85" W x 1.55" H (2.2 cm x 3.9 cm)
