Exquisite carved 18/19th C Chinese Qing Dynasty jade in form of a deep vessel, bulbous to the center body, large trumpet shaped opening with elongated gallery mouth frontward, raised on a splayed foot base. The mid-section is finely carved in shallow relief with bands of archaic Taotie masks. Each section is carved with a set of four flanges on the sides that start at the upper lip and follow down to the foot of the vessel. A dragon mask emerged below the rim, creates handle, balanced to the opposite with a loop suspending a loose ring below the trumpet rim. The Jade stone has grayish-celadon iridescent, moist and milky appearance, with some golden-russet natural inclusions.
