Description
Pair of Chinese porcelain plant pots, sturdily potted in cylindrical body, with flaring rim and slightly splayed foot base. The exterior decorated in colorful famille rose of floral foliate and stylized ruyi against sgraffito diaper ground. The rim adorned with open work carved repeating ruyi motif. The porcelain conformed all required specimen to be high valued Chinese GuanYao porcelain Imperial wares , with finest material, the whiteness, the glaze, the painting, and the shape. Without overlap the outlines of the design, well drawn, clear, subtle, and distinct. The clay is fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous. Both porcelain pots are presented upon carved hardwood stands. Mark on the pale-green turquoise under glazed ground base, a six blue seal script -ZhuanShu- characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing.

After many decades, Earl Sorensen has planned his retirement, and decided to pass his cherished collections to those collectors who would realize the history and value.
