19th c. Maasai Warrior Spear Rear Admiral Perry Garst (1848-1939) who brought this spear back with from his world sailing tour after graduating from the Naval Academy Annapolis, 1868. Measures 96"x70". Weight is 7 pds. PROVENANCE: Garst/Quackenbush Family By Descent. Rear Admiral Perry Garst, Annapolis Graduate, was married to Elizabeth Quackenbush, daughter of Admiral Stephen Platt Quackenbush.
