This magnificent working Rosewood and Glass Cased Analytical Balance Scale for Apothecary / Jeweler or Scientific use was made by Henry Troemner for Arthur H. Thomas Co. in Philadelphia, PA., one of the oldest and largest distributors of scientific laboratory equipment in the US. The whole balance can be put to rest when manipulating loads by rotating the handle that protrudes from the side of the wood and glass cabinet that protects the balance and shields the measurement from air currents. The cabinet's front panel easily slides up and stays to allow access and has a full length drawer that contains a full set of 8 weights.
