Description
Conte Crayon Drawing by Evelyn Longman of Man. Inscribed to Nick Bissell in memory of their summer on Cape Cod. Evelyn Beatrice Longman (Batchelder) (b. Ohio, 1874 - 1954) was an assistant to famed sculptor Daniel Chester French and sculpted busts of many luminaries in her lifetime. A replica of "Victory", an allegorical figure - her biggest success - is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The framed drawing measures 19 x 16 inches.
