Description
Often erroneously referred to as “A Street in Old Peking”, this effect is a spinoff of the Fantastic Frame as described in A Continuation of Miracles by Lewis. The effect is as follows, a red, yellow, and blue ribbon are displayed hanging on a rod in an upright, open beautifully decorated Chinese frame. The ribbons are removed and the frame is covered front and back by two wonderfully decorated screens. The ribbons are vanished and when the screens are removed, the ribbons are found to be once again hanging on the rod on the frame. Due to its size, it is truly a striking piece. McIlhany obtained this directly from Martin Lewis who made parts to complete the illusion. In addition, he outsourced completing the structure and painting the ribbons. Painting and decorating this incredible piece was done by Norm Nielsen. Condition: Excellent.
