Description
Pair of small white ground, famille rose planters with an old box, from the Republic period. These matching planters depict landscape scenes with people and buildings. The planters each have 3 feet. The two bases are also enameled with landscapes. Both the bottom of the planters and the bases have 6 character seal marks. All four pieces come in an old box.
Dimensions for the planters are 3 1/4 inches tall X 4 1/8 inches wide. Bases are 3/4 inch tall. All measurements are approximate.
From the estate of Eulalio Carrera Lowe. The first Panamanian Consul General in Guangzhou, China. Then in Hong Kong and Macau in the 1940s and 1950s.
