French Louis XIII Style Carved Walnut Coffer Bench, 19th c., the stepped two part top lifting to open storage over a highly carved figural frieze with putti and scrolled decoration flanked by carved green man panels to a stepped sloping base on large disc feet, H.- 21 1/4 in., W.- 74 1/2 in., D.- 24 in.

Condition

Consistent with age and use. Pinholes length of bench on top to the rear and pinholes on side panels. Surface scratches, dents wear of varnish. Pinholes on disk feet. Carving in front missing chips. A lovely example.
