Description
Late 19th-early 20th century. A group of flatware with mother-of-pearl handles, including nine dinner forks with sterling bands and tines (lg. 7.5), nine dinner knives with sterling bands (lg. 8 in.), two butter spreaders with sterling bands (lg. 6 in.), and one pie server with sterling band (lg. 8.25 in.); plus, thirty-two sterling flatware items, including nine dinner forks and eleven dinner knives with sterling handles by the National Silver Co. (knife lg. 8.75 in.), eight salad forks by R. Wallace & Sons (lg. 5.75 in.), and four butter spreaders by Manchester Mfg. Co. (lg. 6 in.); each marked for maker and STERLING; total weighable silver wt. 17.990ozt (559.55g).
Condition
Four dinner knives by National Silver Co. have rust on blades. One fork with mother-of-pearl handle is cracked near band. Pie server has some rust on blade. Mother-of-pearl knives have some oxidation to blades. Other wear consistent with age and use.
