JESSIE H. WHITEHURST QUARTER-PLATE DAGUERREOTYPE IMAGE, depicting a seated gentleman with a stove-pipe top hat and cigar, stamped "WHITEHURST" on gold mat, partial case. Whitehurst had studios in Virginia including Richmond, Petersburg, Norfolk, and Lynchburg, as well as Baltimore, MD, Washington, DC, and Wilmington, NC. Circa 1850. 4 1/4" x 3 1/4" plate.
