14” An unusual shoulder head china, circa 1870`s, featuring glass eyes(set stationary), wig and a smile on her face. Dressed in a period fanciful cotton dress with multiple layers of undergarments she is on a gusseted horsehair stuffed kid body with bisque lower arms. This doll comes from the original family having been passed from mother to daughter and now being consigned by the niece of the 96 year old 2nd owner. Overall in very good condition with soiling to clothing, kid body not fully inspected but does have split at knee gusset of right leg.
