Large carved eagle figure on a turned sphere with turned column and base; presentation inscription on the base reads “To the glory of God this lectern was given by the Inmates, Staff & Friends of the institution, Mr. Field Master, Mrs. Field Matron, Rev. A. Manvell Chaplain, Mr. R. Bennett Chairmaster, Mr. F.W. Field Organist, 1922”. Good overall condition, has an enhanced dark brown finish, small chip to the edge of the beak. 61.75 in. high x 19 in. wide x 19 in. deep.
