Description
China, Ming Dynasty, 1368 to 1644 CE. A pair of two porcelain objects, both used for pouring. One is in the form of a fish leaping upward from waves, his mouth open as his upper fin morphs into a narrow, curving spout. His tail forms the handle. The other is a pumpkin-shaped vessel with a tiny spout rising from one side. Both sit on flat, unglazed bases. Both are glazed blue; the fish also has white glaze that is visible underneath the blue in the higher profile areas. Size of largest: 1.9" L x 3.9" W x 4.35" H (4.8 cm x 9.9 cm x 11 cm)
