Norman Wilson, oil, autumn landscape with lake and mountians, on canvas, image area 36" x 28", in fine gold frame.....The following biography is based on information provided by Stephen Franzoi:Norman Badgley Wilson, painter and engraver, was born December. 1, 1906 in Arcadi, Indiana. He is known for paintings of genre, landscapes, and mountains, forms. Wilson was a member of the Indianapolis Art Association and the Indianapolis Society of Printmakers. He won awards for his work at the 1951 South Bend Art Association, the 1951 Fort Wayne Art Institute, and the 1952 John Herron Art Institute. He exhibited his work at the Pennsylvania Academy of Arts (1937), the Butler Art Institute (1945-1946, 1948-1949), the Tri-State Print Exhibition (1944-1945, 1948), Milwaukee Art Institute (1946), Carnegie Institute, Philadelphia Print Club, John Herron Art Institute (1937, 1939, 1942, 1944, 1946, 1948-1952), South Bend Art Institute (1950-1952), Fort Wayne Art Institute (1951), and the J.B. Speed Memorial Museum.
