Description
French, circa 1900s. Belle Epoque gilt bronze and frosted glass nine light chandelier having a harp or lyre shaped frame decorated with lion masks united by hanging drapery and acanthus leaves, mounted with two C scroll candlearms to each side and four leafy scrolling candlearms hung with swags of fruit, the circulet with opposing griffins enclosing the double dome shaped frosted glass shade housing a single light above an uplight with frosted flambeau shaped shade and terminating in a floral garland swag centering a single drop light. Approximate height 46", width 37".
Condition
Likely will need to be re-wired. Lacking shades to arms and shade to bottom drop light. Chip to rim of double dome glass shade. Decorative screw cover missing (see image #1 - lower left). Some screws loose; some replacements. Wear is commensurate with age and usage.
