Item Details

Description

19th century Anglo-Dutch ebonized and fruitwood peat bucket composed of light and dark woods with brass metal handle and brass pail insert. Approximate height 13.5", diameter 12".

Condition

Structurally sound. Brass liner likely not original. Liner with tarnishing, denting and small crack/tear at rim (see image #7. Screws replaced on handle. Areas of worming and seam seperation present. Chips and losses to foot and banding (see image #3). Scattered chips, nicks, scratches and losses commensurate with age and usage. Prior to bidding, please consult the additional photos provided and ask all pertinent questions (i.e. condition, size, etc.).
