Description
Friedman Brothers (American, founded 1903), last quarter 20th century. A Chinese Chippendale style mirror from the Connoisseur's Collection, having vertical form with a crested top, flanked by two phoenix spandrels, with a curving and scrolled acanthine frame, accented with flowers and icicles. Label to reverse. Approximate height 56.75", width 40.5", depth 2.5". Provenance: Property from the Private Collection of Ms. Peggy Woodruff of Atlanta, Georgia and Highlands, North Carolina.
Condition
Minor wear commensurate with age and use. Some losses to gilt finish. Some minor cracking to frame. Minor dust. No pother visible signs of damage or repair.
